Royal Albert Hall

Royal Albert Hall Of Fame

By Sam Jackson

What are you doing on 4th October? If your diary’s looking pretty free at the moment, can I make a suggestion? Why not join us at London’s Royal Albert Hall for one of the biggest nights of the classical music calendar, as we celebrate another Classic FM Live!

If you travel down from the north-west of England, you could find yourself on the same train as the entire Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra – who, we’re delighted to say, will be performing for us on the night. The programme will be packed to bursting with Classic FM Hall of Fame favourites (Finlandia? Tick. Romeo and Juliet? Tick. The 1812 Overture with a lorry load of fireworks to provide a spectacular finale? How could we say no?) to guarantee you a great night of music.

We’re thrilled to have secured a couple of star soloists to perform for us, and we know you’re going to love what they have to offer. Benjamin Grosvenor is still a teenager, yet he’s already become the first British pianist in decades to have been signed to the prestigious Decca label. He’s in demand around the world, and he’ll be joining us to perform Gershwin’s jazz-infused Rhapsody in Blue – a perfect party piece, if ever there was one.

We’re also delighted to be welcoming the young British violinist Charlie Siem, who’ll be making his Classic FM Live debut by performing a couple of pieces, including Vaughan Williams’ ever-popular The Lark Ascending. Charlie’s career to date has included everything from recording his outstanding new concertos album with the London Symphony Orchestra, through to playing for Lady GaGa in New York! Find out what all the fuss is about by hearing Charlie perform on the night.

Whether you’ve been to every Classic FM Live over the last ten years, or you’ve never headed along to a classical music concert, we’d love to see you. Tickets are available now by calling the box office on 0845 401 5034, or online from The Royal Albert Hall. Go on, book your tickets today. It won’t be the same without you there!
